Hi,

I would like to change my XP to WIN 7. That why I need new drivers. I hope there is any possibility to find good drivers and provide every function and operability, however HP does not soupport this modell anymore.

Drivers for nx6110 laptop/win 7

Hi:

Just to say from the beginning..the Intel graphics adapter your notebook has cannot fully run W7. The graphics adapter cannot run Windows Aero, and HP does not support that model for W7 at all.

Here are some drivers you should be able to use. Then you will have to post the hardware ID's for any other drivers you need that W7 didn't install.

Graphics: Download and run this driver. You will get an unsupported operating system error.

This package contains the Intel 915GM Graphics Driver for the listed notebook models running a listed Microsoft Windows Vista Operating System.

Close out of any error windows.

Go to the device manager and click on the Video Controller needing the driver. It may also be listed under the Display Adapters device manager category as a Standard VGA Adapter.

Click on the driver tab. Click on Update driver. Select the Browse my computer for driver software option, and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the file.

That folder will be located in C:SWSetupsp34749.

Make sure the Include subfolders box is checked, and the driver should install.

Then restart the PC, and the graphics should be working fine like it did in XP. Just no Windows Aero.

Audio:

This package contains the audio driver for the ADI SoundMAX AC97 Audio in the listed notebook models and operating systems.

Card Reader:

This package contains the driver for the Texas Instruments PCI (TI-PCI) Cardbus (Media Card Reader) for the supported notebook/laptop models and operating systems.

I don't know what other devices may be missing drivers, so please post the hardware ID's for those, and I will then post the links to the drivers you need.

Use this guide for how to find the hardware ID for a device..

Thanks to Paul_Tikkanen for the quick answer.

That is fine. Frankie goes to hollywood greatest hits rar. I am on the right way, but ..

What is your advice? Can I be happier with an other Windows? Windows Vista, 7, 8, 10 which is the better choice?

Anyway tell the truth I do not care for Windows Aero. Till now I did not knew what is was. I do not know now either, but I will disable as a disturbig factor. I care for easy installation, maintenance and smooth operation.

You're very welcome.

You are best staying with W7.

Windows 2000, XP and Vista have no more security support from Microsoft, and it is getting harder and harder to find antivirus and internet browsers to work correctly with those operating systems.

You can use the same method to install the graphics driver for W8, but on W8.1 and W10, the graphics driver won't work, no matter what you try.
